Solar Power for Homes-supported by Green Financing Pathways

URPC provides residential and community-focused solar PV and hybrid PV+BESS systems designed to reduce electricity cost, protect households from outages, and stabilise voltage for sensitive appliances. Our approach is engineered and safety-led: correct protections, compliant installation practice, and monitoring-ready systems that perform predictably over the asset life.
To accelerate adoption, URPC is partnering with Housing Finance Bank (HFB) and other local lenders, alongside UECCC, to expand access to green financing pathways for homeowners—enabling qualified clients to adopt reliable solar solutions without heavy upfront capital burden.

The Challenges Households & Communities Face

Unreliable Supply & Voltage Fluctuations

Interruptions and unstable voltage can damage fridges, TVs, routers, and electronics, disrupt home-based work and learning, and increase reliance on small generators.

Rising Energy Costs

Households want a solution that reduces grid dependence while keeping comfort and safety intact.

Safety Risk From Informal Installations

Poor wiring, undersized protections, and unsafe changeover setups create real safety risks. URPC designs and commissions residential systems with disciplined protections and clear handover standards.

Our Residential Solution Approach

1) PV-First Systems for Bill Reduction

Roof-mounted PV is sized to displace daytime consumption and reduce the blended cost of electricity.

2) Hybrid PV + BESS for Resilience & Stability

Where resilience is required, battery storage is integrated to:
• keep essential circuits running during outages
• improve voltage behaviour and reduce nuisance trips
• support evening loads where appropriate

3) Essential-Load Prioritization (Practical Battery Strategy)

We design a defined essential-load panel so storage capacity is used where it delivers the highest value, typically covering:
• lighting and key sockets
• fridge/freezer
• TV/router and communications
• security lighting/CCTV (where applicable)

4) Metering Readiness for Hybrid Systems

Where required, URPC provisions for hybrid-compatible / bidirectional metering considerations to support compliant measurement in grid-interactive environments, subject to applicable utility rules and approvals.

Communities (Non-Industrial Applications)

URPC can support community-scale essential loads where the requirement is continuity and safety:
• community facilities and offices
• schools and learning centres (lighting, ICT, security)
• clinics and basic health facilities (essential circuits)
• shared compound services (lighting, security, domestic water pumping)
(Agro-processing and cold chain are covered under the Agro-processing sector.)

Financing Enablement for Home Owners

URPC is building a streamlined pathway with Housing Finance Bank (HFB), other banks, and UECCC to support homeowner access to green financing. In practice, this means:
• a standardised technical pack suitable for lender review
• pre-screening through calculators and structured data capture
• installation and commissioning discipline aligned to bankability expectations
• long-term maintenance options to protect asset performance over the loan tenor
Financing is subject to lender eligibility criteria and final underwriting.
